Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. I noticed the program is a one year commitment, are there acceptions to the one year commitment?
On occasion or under special circumstances, and in order to meet a specific need, a shorter or longer program may be considered.

  2. In practical hands on training you listed a long list of crafts and skills, will my son be trained in all of these skills?
Our goal for your son upon graduation is that he would be prepared for job readiness.
Your son will be exposed to various crafts and skills depending on the season and the projects currently underway at MOV Ranch.

We don't promote religion! We base our training on Christian principles, ethics, and values. We focus on character traits not religious doctrine.

  4. Will my son's physical condition be considered in the overall work program?
Absolutely, we have a doctor, and a health coach that will be monitoring the progress of your son's development.

  5. Can my son bring a cell phone, i-Pod, or other media devices?
No, one of the strengths of the program is removing the young men from the things and people who have formed or contributed to their poor judgments and way of thinking.

  6. Can my son come home for special occasions and holidays?
The only release from the program is for court appearances and family funerals.
